CONCACAF Nations league - Antigua vs St. Lucia

The reinvented St. Lucian senior team got their CONCACAF Nations League campaign off to a flyer as they swept aside Antigua and Barbuda by 3 goals to nil.

The flurry of goals came in the second half as St. Lucia seemed to ramp up the intensity after being predominantly on the back foot for the first phase of the game. Goals were scored by midfielder Pernal Williams, striker Androus Remy and the explosive Jevic Samuel. This puts team St. Lucia in pole position and delivers much needed momentum and confidence to the team as they march on in the inaugural CONCACAF Nations League. The next game for team St. Lucia is on October 13th 2018, where the men will host the CONCACAF juggernauts Haiti in St. Lucia. Haiti have already stamped their authority on the competition dispatching St. Marteen by 13 goals to nil in their first encounter. Head coach of the St. Lucian team Mr Francis McDonald has a daunting task ahead as he endeavours to prepare his men for the challenges posed by a red hot Haitian team.
