Over the last two years, the Saint Lucia Football Association Inc. has been entirely committed towards sensitizing clubs about and assisting them with their FIFA Club License application. Now, with approximately five months gone into the year 2017, the initial phase of the licensing program is over.

Plans for football in Saint Lucia for the year 2017 were delineated as the Saint Lucia Football Association Inc. hosted its 30th annual ordinary congress. The event was held in the conference room of the Government Financial Center and was well attended with the majority of the association’s affiliates being represented.

As promised by the president of the Saint Lucia Football Association Inc. Mr. Lyndon Cooper, a second D license course has come to fruition. The CONCACAF D license is a globally recognized course which challenges coaches to think critically about the tactical aspect and development of the game.

SLFA Grassroots and Youth Development coordinator Mr. Victorin Laurence remained busy this Easter weekend as he continued with his chain of grassroots festivals around the island. On the Easter Monday holiday, he moved to the west coast where festivals were held in the districts of Roseau Valley and Anse La Raye at 10a.m. and 2p.m. respectively.
